SmartFan Stratus II is a microprocessor based variable frequency drive designed for OEM applications in HVAC, electronic and industrial control markets. Stratus II is designed to control single or three-phase fans, motors and pumps in AC motor speed control applications including environmental control (temperature, humidity, pressure, flow), clean room pressurization, equipment cooling, exhaust ventilation and heating/air conditioning systems.
Stratus II allows easy set-up for Variable Frequency Drive motor control based on an analog control input or fixed speed settings. For added versatility, Stratus II can be programmed and controlled using Modbus communications. |
The ease of operation, small size and innovative microprocessor design make the Stratus II the most cost effective variable frequency drive available for low power AC motor speed control.

CAUTION: SmartFan AC motor speed controls are designed for OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and are not intended for end-user or after-market applications. SmartFan AC motor speed controls should only be used with compatible induction motors: Permanent Split Capacitor (PSC) or Shaded Pole. All AC motors must be approved by the motor manufacturer or thoroughly validated prior to use. Attempting to control a fan or motor that is not compatible could cause excessive heating and/or permanent damage to the motor.
The use of Inverter duty grade motors is highly recommended when using a Variable Frequency Drive. To avoid bearing pitting and insulation breakdown on motors that are not inverter grade, the use of a LC filter connected to the output of the Variable Frequency Drive is required.
