Custom Variable Frequency Drive Example for 3-phase 1/3 HP Data Center Cooling Fans

This custom variable frequency drive design goal was to allow multiple VFDs to operate together in a large data center cooling application. Power factor correction prevents feedback on the AC line. A RS485 interface on the variable frequency drive controls motor speed and reports status information. Under-voltage protection, over-current protection, and AC line inrush current control guarantees maximum performance of this custom VFD design.
